Middle School Classes
Drones + Math Skills
Work with museum educators to learn about aviation and the physics of flight through drones. Build and fly your own drone in this course, and practice and master your algebraic and geometric skills through problem-solving conducted in this course!
Animation Design + AI Tools
Students will become familiar with art program Krita’s animation workspace, understand and apply animation principles, create frame-by-frame animations using a Wacom tablet, and plan and execute a short animated scene while using AI tools responsibly to assist the process.
Crime Scene Investigation + Marine Science
You will play the role of a forensic scientist and, while using scientific knowledge & reasoning, be introduced to practical applications of chemistry, physics, and biology in this exciting Forensics program! Students will also obtain an in-depth awareness of coastal and marine systems. The course will include a study of the physical, chemical and geological aspects of oceanography, marine biology, the coastal environment and the interrelationships amongst disciplines.

High School Classes
Forensics + Math Skills
You will play the role of a forensic scientist and use scientific knowledge and analytical skills to solve mock criminal scenarios. We will reinforce concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics in this course. Students will also reinforce their general High School math skills through real-life applications.
Critical Thinking + Intro to English Composition
This course covers the skills needed to write successful, engaging essays and deepens your confidence in your writing abilities. It will prepare you to write college applications and supplemental college essays. Students will also become great critical thinkers by honing their ability to understand, evaluate and create arguments. They can then use these skills to enhance their academic and professional career.
Python Programming Certification Course
Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification shows that the individual is familiar with universal computer programming concepts like data types, containers, functions, conditions, loops, as well as Python programming language syntax, semantics, and the runtime environment. Join this course to learn the Python Programming language and receive certification by completing this course!

Summer Research
STEP into the dynamic world of scientific discovery with this 4-week program. This year’s research spotlight is on environmental health and its impact on the quality of our health. Students will investigate the influences on water quality, from microplastics to chemical contaminants both organic and inorganic, collect field samples and perform detailed analyses using state-of-the-art techniques including DNA Meta barcoding, explore the principles and practices of environment quality monitoring and assessment, and collaborate with SUNY OW faculty to develop innovative research proposals in ecology and cancer biology while building a strong foundation in evaluating how contaminants contribute to biodiversity loss, habitat disruption, and public health concerns.
For students entering grades 10th-12th
